First Thoughts: WataMote no matter how I look at it its you guys fault Im not popular

My introduction to this anime was basically, look threw emails,
J~list have stuff, open, look at manga, recognise a character click that, copy the name, paste it on google, watch on Crunchyrole!

I have seen the character somewhere but I’m unsure where, so I started watching it, and it
was fun, basically it’s about this cute (to me) girl who is unpopular, and at least at the start of the first episode, she is trying to convince herself that she is popular, even though someone moving a table next to hers because he forgot his notebook isn’t really being popular! >.<

The opening was instressing, it was crazy and shows a crazy version the main character,
captured in chains as she walks, she breaks the chaines in wild anger, I’m unsure how this
opening is ment to be received, but its fast passed, semi aggressive tempo, made Tomoko look like shes going to be an instressing character!

The girl whos name is Kuroki Tomoko, she’s the female version of a creepy girl, she has creepy movements sometimes, she’s forever alone, she plays dating simulators, on her DS and gawd they are bad, but god she’s cute, she’s a loner girl, even though if I met her, I’d be her friend in a heart beat, even if shes played creepy dating sims for years!

She wildly search the web for ways to increase her cuteness, (YOU’RE CUTE ENOUGH AS YOU ARE TOMOKO!) it quite funny but kinda upsetting that she feels she has to be better then everyone else to get attention, it really battles a common traits in girls feeling that they have to look cuter, or hotter then everyone else to get attention, She searches intensely, it's quite scary, but after taking some advise, she looks insainly scary, but also hilarious, duckface and greasy hair being the ones that stuck out most to me!

Tomoko is a strange character, the next day after saying good bye awkwardly to a boy at school, she starts jogging to a store all happily, music changing from gloomy to springy and happy, it made me laugh and smile, she buys some sweets and this suddenly turns from depressing, to tears of happyness for this woman she is super cute when she talks to people, and I admire her attempts to talk to people!
She’s a typical girl with some sort of anxiety disorder, I hope this anime keeps hope for her and them people, so far it looks like we are dealing with her pain and successes together!

The music is lovely, and has nice effects, like at the start its a charming cute song and as Tomoko finds what the definition of a unpopular girl is, the music starts to sound like a broken cassette tape, and when playing her ds game, it really sounded like it was coming from lower quality audio sauces, the songs and sounds definitely fit the mood of the anime so far, and I love the sense of life isn't great that the music betrays!

The art style is the typical anime style, but the opening contained some lovely black and white aggressive imaging, and the main character does have an emo look about her which doesn't tend to be the main character type, but still cute!!

Its genera is Slice of life and Comedy, which I can see, but for me the first episode was more depressing then comedic!

Wrapping it up, the anime is both depressing and hilarious, its got me between crying from happyness to crying of sadness, its quite strange if an anime to put them both together, I’d like to see how this anime moves on, but don’t go in just expecting everything to be happy,
come on its about a girl trying to get threw life, trying to make friends and trying to get a boyfriend, while being called ugly and having Social Anxiety disorder it’s upsetting
She’s just a loner girl, and I can relate to that, it’s not very plesent, and I wish the best for her, because so far she’s in a fragile state...
Basically if theres some binches or Barstands at school or collage, make them watch this, you are likely to see a change in there actions, unless they are heartless!
